Free CLO-PLO Mapping Tool & OBE Result Generator

Accrely's OBE result generator is a free, browser-based tool for Outcome-Based Education. Enter student marks, map each question to Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), map CLOs to Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), and instantly get CLO attainment and PLO attainment for every student — without spreadsheets, formulas, signup or software installation.

It is built for faculty members, course coordinators and IQAC teams preparing OBE evidence for accreditation by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), IEB, ABET, NBA and other Washington Accord bodies.

How to generate OBE results with CLO-PLO mapping

  1. 1

Set up the course. Enter the university, course name and code, and how many students you have. You can paste a list of student IDs directly.

  2. 2

Add questions and marks. Add a column for each exam or assignment question with its maximum mark, then type in each student's marks — like a spreadsheet.

  3. 3

Map questions to CLOs. For each question, choose the Course Learning Outcomes it assesses and give each a weight so they add up to 100%.

  4. 4

Map CLOs to PLOs. Link each CLO to Program Learning Outcomes using the CLO-PLO matrix table or the visual graph editor.

  5. 5

Generate and export OBE results. Generate the final marksheet with CLO and PLO attainment for every student and download it as PDF or CSV.

How CLO and PLO attainment are calculated

For every question, the marks a student earns are split across the CLOs it is mapped to according to the question-CLO weights. Adding these up gives the student's CLO marks, and dividing by the maximum possible CLO marks gives the CLO attainment percentage.

The CLO marks are then distributed to PLOs using the CLO-PLO mapping weights. Dividing by the maximum possible PLO marks gives the PLO attainment percentage. CLO-PLO weights can be entered as percentages or as a 0–3 correlation level (low, medium, high), which the tool normalises to 100% automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is this CLO-PLO mapping tool really free?

Yes. The OBE result generator is completely free to use, with no signup, no login and no installation. Open the page in your browser and start entering marks.

Is my student data uploaded anywhere?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Student IDs, marks and CLO-PLO mappings are saved only in your browser's local storage on your own computer and are never sent to a server.

How is CLO attainment calculated?

Each question is mapped to one or more Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) with weights that add up to 100%. A student's CLO score is the sum of their marks on each question multiplied by that question's CLO weight, divided by the maximum possible CLO marks. The result is shown as a percentage per CLO for every student.

How is PLO attainment calculated from CLOs?

Each CLO is mapped to one or more Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) with percentage weights. The PLO score is the weighted sum of the CLO scores that feed into it, divided by the maximum possible PLO marks. You can enter CLO-PLO weights as percentages or on a 0–3 correlation scale, which is normalised automatically.

Can I use it for BAC, ABET or NBA accreditation?

Yes. The tool follows the standard Outcome-Based Education (OBE) model used by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), IEB, ABET, NBA and other Washington Accord signatories. You can export the final CLO and PLO attainment marksheet as a PDF or CSV for your accreditation evidence.

What can I export?

You can download the final OBE marksheet with per-student CLO and PLO attainment as a formatted PDF, or as a CSV file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets.

What is the difference between this free tool and Accrely?

The free tool calculates CLO and PLO attainment for one course at a time, saved in your browser. Accrely is the full quality platform: it combines every course into program-level PLO attainment, blends in student, alumni and employer survey results, turns attainment gaps into assigned CQI tasks, and keeps your BAC accreditation evidence in one shared workspace for your whole team.
